Mystery Photo No. 9 -- box of apples
What we know about this photo:
Shown from left are James Monteith, assistant
manager of U.S. National Bank; Col. Edwin
Witzenburger, commander of the 408th Fighter Group
at Kingsley Field; Lt. Col. Richard Garrett,
commander of the 322nd Fighter Squadron at Kingsley
Field; and George Callison, manager of the Klamath
County Chamber of Commerce. The photo was probably
taken around 1964.
What we don't know: What was the occasion
for this photo? Witzenburger, contacted on Feb, 20,
2010, by the museum, said food was often donated to
the Air Force, and that this may have been an
example of that.
