Mystery Photo No. 1 -- Roy Rogers

What we know about this photo:
The baking class from Oregon Technical Institute in
Klamath Falls poses with a cake made for a birthday
party in honor of Roy Rogers in November 1951. Photo taken in front of the
Pine Tree Theater in Klamath Falls.
The class instructor,
Vernon Harless, appears in the front of the row just
behind the truck cab.
What we don't know: Names of
most of the men in the photo above and below.
Additional info: The Pine Tree
Theater frequently had Saturday matinees for local
members of the Roy Rogers Riders Club. In 1950, a
similar cake was made by the Polly Ann Pastry shop
in Klamath Falls. In November 1951, the Herald
and News published a photo (see at bottom of this
page) showing a cake made by the Oregon Tech class.
The Nov. 3, 1951, H&N also carried an ad for the
Pine Tree Theater, which was offering a Saturday
matinee of "Under California Skies" -- giving us the
date for the above photo.
