Native Plants Workshop II - A tour of the nature garden at
the Klamath County Museum, featuring more than 50 native plants.
Designed to help residents learn to recognize locally native plants,
including many that can be used in landscaping. 10 a.m. Saturday,

Plant Pressing Workshop - Families with children are
invited to join us at the Klamath County Museum at 1 p.m. Saturday,
June 2, for a free workshop on gathering and pressing wildflowers.
Learn how to use dried and pressed flowers in art projects. Some
materials provided. Registration required by calling the museum at
541-883-4208.
Keno History Session - Current and former residents of the
Keno community are invited to bring stories, photos and artifacts to
a museum-sponsored information gathering session scheduled for 10
a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, June 2, in the Keno Library.
High Street Homes Tour - A walking history tour focusing
on historic homes in High Street in Klamath Falls. Presented by
Carol Mattos of the Klamath County Historical Society. 1 p.m. on
Saturday and Sunday, June 2 and 3 (same tour offered both days).
Venus Transit - A June 5 sidewalk astronomy event to view
the plant Venus as it passes across the face of the sun. 6:30 p.m.
at the Klamath County Museum, 1451 Main St. Free.
Sprague River History Session - Current and former
residents of the Sprague River community are invited to bring
stories, photos and artifacts to a museum-sponsored information
gathering session scheduled for 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, June 13,
in the Sprague River Library.
Bus tour to Weed - Annual summer bus tour offered by the
Klamath County Historical Society, June 23. (Registration opens for
Historical Society members April 26.)
Malin bus tour - Our annual tour of the Malin area,
including sites related to the outbreak of the Modoc Indian War, is
set for Tuesday, June 26. Presented in cooperation with the Malin
Historical Society. Fee charged for this event. More information at:

Rockhounding and polishing - On July 7 the Klamath County
Museum and the Klamath Rock and Arrowhead Club will conduct a
rockhounding and rock polishing demonstration. Rock gathering starts
at 9 a.m. near the NEW call center, followed by a rock polishing
demonstration at 10:30 a.m. at the museum. Anyone who contributes a
rock to the batch can return to select a polished stone at 9 a.m.

Perseid Star Party - A moonless night on Aug. 13 should
make the Perseid meteor shower a fun event. The Fort Klamath Museum
will open at 8 p.m. for those interested in taking advantage of the
VERY dark skies. Free.
Breakfast with Santa - Our annual breakfast with the Jolly
Old Elf will run from 8 to 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 8, at the Klamath
County Museum.
