Fort Klamath Museum

The Fort Klamath Museum sits on an eight-acre parcel
at the heart of historic Fort Klamath, which operated from 1863 to
1889. No original fort buildings remain on the museum grounds,
although the site contains the parade grounds and flagpole site of the fort, as well as the
graves of four Modoc Indian leaders who were tried and hanged at the
fort after the end of the Modoc Indian War in 1873. A replica of the fort guardhouse contains
displays and artifacts of
fort history.
