v Flexible Spending
Account (FSA or IRS Section 125 Plan):
The Flex Plan is an excellent way to save on taxes and
boost your benefits. The plan can be used for expenses related to medical,
dental, vision, prescription, dependent care and other qualified expenses. Our
plan administrator, Manley
Services, is a leader in public employer flexible spending
account plans throughout the region.
v Employee Assistance
Program (EAP): A key part of our
employee wellness program is the EAP. Our plan offers eligible employees
numerous visits at no cost. There are several resources and referrals for a
wide range of issues, as well as access to local counselors. This is a significant
benefit that’s there when you need it in times of personal crisis or concern.
v Retirement Plan: Based upon your position, you will
have the opportunity to participate in one of two pension plans. The Klamath
County Employees’ Pension Plan, a 401(a) Plan (this is
the plan for the majority of our workforce) U.S. Bank or the Oregon Public Employees Retirement System (PERS) Plan. Both offer
excellent retirement benefits for eligible employees.
v Deferred Compensation
(Section 457 Plan): This demonstrates yet
another way to save money for the future. We offer three Deferred Compensation
(DC) plan options: AIG, the PEBSCO/Nationwide Retirement Solutions and The Hartford.
v Paid Holidays: Most employees receive 11 paid
holidays each year.
v Paid Vacations: Most full-time employees receive 2
weeks of paid vacation per year, with greater amounts earned as your years of
service at Klamath County increase.
v Paid Sick Leave: Most full-time employees receive 8
hours of sick leave each month.
v Optional Insurance
Coverage: Low cost benefit
options available to all employees and offered through our relationship with AFLAC.
