Breastfeeding baby

Breastfeeding

We are strong advocates for breastfeeding and provide the following services to our clients: Breastfeeding classes are offered monthly. All of our certifiers and dietitian are also educated on breastfeeding issues and can answer the typical concerns. If a client has a more in depth problem or concern, our lactation education meets with them and helps them deal with these issues. We offer manual and electric breast pumps free of charge to our breastfeeding mothers as a means of helping them to maintain breastfeeding, particularly when returning to work. The WIC program statewide offers an expanded food package for breastfeeding women and the opportunity to remain on the program for a year postpartum if a woman breastfeeds for that length of time. We also provide individual nutrition counseling with our registered dietitian for all high-risk clients.

Outreach Services

We currently provide outreach services to the following communities:

Malin

We provide these outreach services to these communities once a month.
