Where do I get my food handler card?

• Online at www.ora.org (Oregon Restaurant Association)

• In person at the Public Health building 403 Pine Street.

Printed schedules are available. Ask Receptionist

How much does the food handler card cost and how long is it good for?

(As of winter 2006) the cost is $10… and the card is good for three years in the state of Oregon.

Rates may change so contact Public Health for current fees.

How do I get a replacement food handler card?

Bring in $5 to the Public Health building at 403 Pine Street (Environmental Health staff will assist you). If you received your card online then contact www.ora.org (Oregon Restaurant Association)

Do I need a permit to serve food to the public?

Yes. Most food events, temporary or permanent, are required to have a permit.
