Klamath County District Attorney's Office

    Edwin I. Caleb, District Attorney

Community Involvement and Crime Prevention

Ed Caleb believes the District Attorney’s office should be involved in crime prevention, and one of the best ways to help prevent crime is to be actively involved in the community.  He has committed the resources of the District Attorney's Office to programs that help to prevent school violence and promote character education within our schools. In addition, he has also prioritized elder abuse investigations, the District Attorney’s role in the Child Abuse Multi-Disciplinary Team, and involvement in representing the State Office for Service to Children and Families and the Klamath County Juvenile Department.

The District Attorney is actively involved in numerous civic and sports programs and encourages his deputies to become involved also. Currently, he and his employees are active in several service organizations, they are teaching at several levels, involved in the S.M.A.R.T reading program, and involved in many youth sporting activities.
