Comprehensive Plan &
Land Development Code Update Project
Klamath County is currently updating its
Comprehensive Plan, Atlas, and Land Development Code to reflect
current law and public values. The Comprehensive Plan has not had
major revisions since 1984. The Development Code has had minor
updates through the years but is in need of changes to make it more
user-friendly.
The Comprehensive Plan sets the broad
vision for where and how future growth and development should occur.
The Land Development Code (LDC) is the specific regulation (e.g.,
zoning, standards, permits, etc.) that carries out Policies adopted
in the Comprehensive Plan (PLAN). The Atlas is the supporting
document with factual information to support any amendment to both
the Plan and LDC.
This web site will be updated
periodically over the next couple of years as the County goes
through the process and conducts public hearings.
